End User Licence Agreement
BeatVault Visualiser (Windows) · Last updated 17 October 2026
Please read this agreement carefully. By installing or using BeatVault Visualiser ("the Software") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
1. License
BeatVault ("the Licensor") grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software on the number of computers covered by the licence you purchased, for your own personal or business use, including using its output as an overlay in live streams, recordings and broadcasts.
The Software is free to download from the Microsoft Store and includes a 14-day free trial with all features. After the trial, continued use needs a licence key, bought separately (not through the Microsoft Store). Licence keys are sold through the Licensor's payment partner, Stripe (shown at checkout as "Onelink"), which acts as reseller and handles payment and sales tax; this agreement is between you and the Licensor. Each licence key works on the one computer it was issued for. After a purchase, the Software fetches your licence key from the Licensor's licence server over the internet by itself. Microsoft is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the Software, its licence keys or their sale.
2. Restrictions
You may not: (a) copy, sell, rent, lease, sublicense or distribute the Software or any licence key; (b) share your licence key with anyone outside your licence; (c) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to extract the source code of the Software, except to the extent the law allows despite this restriction; (d) remove or alter any copyright or other proprietary notice; (e) circumvent or disable any licensing or activation mechanism.
3. Ownership
The Software, including its code, visual effects, templates, artwork and documentation, is owned by the Licensor and protected by copyright law and international treaties. You are licensed to use the Software, not sold it. Video or audio content you create with the Software belongs to you.
4. Third-party components
The Software includes third-party components, including NAudio, the .NET runtime, .NET MAUI and the Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime, which are provided under their own licences. Those licences apply to those components.
5. Updates and add-ons
The Licensor may offer updates and optional add-ons, such as effect packs, which may be chargeable. Effect packs are sold and licensed on the same terms as licence keys: a pack is added to your licence key and works on the same one computer.
6. Health warning (photosensitivity)
The Software shows flashing lights, strobing effects and fast-moving or repeating patterns, which may trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy or other photosensitive conditions. If you, or anyone who may see the Software's output, could be affected, seek medical advice before use and only continue if it is safe to do so. You use the Software, and show its output to others, at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, the Licensor is not responsible for any health effects resulting from using the Software or viewing its output.
7. Refunds
You can ask for a full refund of a licence key or effect pack within 14 days of buying it, for any reason, by emailing hello@beatvaultapp.com with your order details. Once refunded, you must stop using that key or pack, and its licence ends; the Software removes it the next time it connects to the licence server. This does not affect your legal rights.
8. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows. The Licensor does not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted or error-free. If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to digital content that is faulty or not as described; nothing in this agreement affects those rights.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Licensor is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Software. Nothing in this agreement excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Termination
This licence ends automatically if you breach these terms. On termination you must stop using the Software and delete all copies.
11. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the place where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
