Terms of Service
BeatVault Music Player (Android) · Last updated 6 November 2026
These terms apply to BeatVault Music Player ("the app"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Who we are
The app is made and sold by Shaka D, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, trading as BeatVault ("we", "us"). Our trader details, including our address and phone number, are shown on our developer page on Google Play. You can contact us at hello@beatvaultapp.com.
2. Your licence to use the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Android devices linked to your Google account, for your own personal use. The app is licensed to you, not sold. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the app, or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows this despite this restriction.
Google Play's own terms also apply to how you download and pay for the app. Google is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app.
3. Free trial, free features and the Lifetime Unlock
The app is free to download. For your first 30 days, every feature is available. After that, the app stays free to use as a music player, and the Pro features (such as Auto DJ Mix, BPM & Key Hold, Identify Song Online and saved themes) need the optional Lifetime Unlock.
The Lifetime Unlock is a one-off purchase made through Google Play, at the price shown in the app and on Google Play before you buy. There is no subscription. Google Play takes the payment and handles any VAT or sales tax.
The unlock is linked to the Google account you bought it with. If you reinstall the app or move to a new phone, sign in to Google Play with the same account and the app restores it, or tap Restore Purchase.
We may add, change or improve features over time. We will not take away a Pro feature you have paid for without a valid reason, such as a third-party service it depends on closing down.
4. Tips
You can choose to leave a tip through Google Play to support the app. Tips are completely optional, can be given more than once, and do not unlock any features.
5. Refunds and your rights
You can request a refund for a purchase through Google Play, under Google Play's refund policy. You can also email us at hello@beatvaultapp.com within 14 days of buying the Lifetime Unlock or a tip, with your Google Play order number (it starts with GPA.), and we will refund it in full, for any reason. If the Lifetime Unlock is refunded, the Pro features lock again.
When you buy digital content that is delivered straight away, you agree that it is supplied immediately, and you may lose your legal right to cancel within 14 days. The refund offer above is given in addition to your legal rights, not instead of them. If the app is faulty or not as described, you have legal rights to a repair, replacement or refund, and nothing in these terms affects those rights.
6. Your music and your files
The app plays music files that are already on your device. You are responsible for having the right to use the music you play with it.
Some features change your files: editing a song's details or cover writes the changes into the file itself, and Find Duplicates moves the copies you choose to delete to your phone's Trash. Please keep a backup of any music that matters to you. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for changes you choose to make to your files using these features.
7. Online services
Identify Song Online and cover search use free third-party services (MusicBrainz, the Cover Art Archive and wsrv.nl), which are not run by us. We cannot guarantee they will always be available or that their results will be correct. See our privacy policy for what is sent to them.
8. Liability
We make the app with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot promise it will always be free of errors or interruptions. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app, and our total liability to you will not be more than the amount you paid us for the app. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Ending these terms
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. If you seriously break these terms, your licence to use the app ends.
10. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be published on this page with a new date. Changes will not take away rights you already have for purchases you have made.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the place where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
